Explaining his first encounter with Jack Algiere and Dan Barber at an Outstanding in the Field gathering months before the restaurant and farm were to open their doors, he reminds us of where the restaurant and farm began and how far they have come. With four words, “We need to talk”, Dan and Jim began their own relationship based on the foundation of great food and growing practices. Eight years later, Jack and Stone Barns Center continue this relationship by using Jim's seeds annually, with all excited to see where Blue Hill may spotlight each delicious bulb."
