Becoming a member of the Blue Hill team has been an exciting change for Sandy. After spending her undergraduate years studying women’s rights at the University of Albany, she received her masters degree in human rights from Columbia University.

For the past decade Sandy served as a program and event manager for several New York City-based human rights organizations. And, while it seemed natural that she continue to play a role in the nonprofit world, Sandy had long desired to explore her love of food and creative event planning. As Blue Hill's events coordinator she has the opportunity to do both.

When this Brooklyn-born girl who was ready for a life beyond the city's limits is not busy assisting Blue Hill guests with the details of their special events, Sandy splits her time between her family in Brooklyn and her backyard in Mamaroneck – training her dogs not to chase the squirrels or pick at the cherry tomatoes she’s learned to grow.
