Originally from Northeast Texas, Emily completed an undergraduate degree focusing on long-term sustainable development at Pepperdine University. She then went on to pursue her master’s degree while serving as a Teach for America Corps member. Emily’s introduction to the culinary field came when working with a coffee supplier in South Korea. While managing a local café in the States, she decided to pursue culinary training, and attended La Ecole Gastronomique de Bellouet Conseil in Paris. Emily interned and worked under Claire Damon at her Montparnasse patisserie, De Gateaux et du Pain. She later moved to New York and eventually found a home in the Blue Hill pastry kitchen before transitioning to the events team. Emily is passionate about celebrating landmark life moments, especially when surrounded by good community and excellent food.
