Head Sommelier, Blue Hill at Stone Barns

Having grown up in Miami, where cocktails and Cuban food far outshone wine and fine dining, Hannah escaped to New York City to dance, dine, and study. She attended Barnard College of Columbia University, majoring in English and Creative Writing while continuing her pre-professional Ballet career. It wasn’t until Hannah moved to Scotland for a semester abroad and joined The University of Edinburgh Wine Society and Blind Tasting Team when she was truly bitten by the wine bug. Hannah decided to trade academia for wine upon returning to New York City, and became an internship with Tasting Department Intern at Wine & Spirits Magazine. The desire to learn the world of hospitality and professional wine service landed her a Wine Runner and Cellar Master position on the opening team of La Sirena Ristorante. Within six months she was promoted to Assistant Sommelier, and then Sommelier. She is currently studying for her Advanced Sommelier Certification with the Court of Master Sommeliers. Hannah joined Blue Hill at Stone Barns in March 2017, bringing her love of Champagne and Barolo to the Hudson Valley.
